Parker n° 146 (01/04/2003) : 91 Apogée : 2005-2018The deep golden, almost amber color reminds me of the 1983 in its youth. Orange marmalade, creme brulee, browned butter, and smoke emerge from the relatively complex, attractive, and full-bodied 2000. Exhibiting tremendous density, good acidity, and loads of fruit and botrytis, it is a strong candidate for the wine of the vintage in Sauternes.
Vinum (01/06/2001) : 17/20 Apogée : 2010-2040
Wine Spectator (30/06/2001) : 89-91Aromas and flavors of lemon curd and dried apricots follow through to a medium body and a sweet finish. One of the best Sauternes from 2000 that I have tasted.
