ENGLISH : In Brief : UK customers may pay by Bank Transfer, by Cheque or, where appropriate, in cash. Please note that we do not accept Debit Cards, Credit Cards or PayPal payment from UK-based customers.
Postal Fees: Each item has a postal tariff code (see the lot description, then the table below); we combine postage; you only pay postage once, the highest-priced postage amongst your purchases. Stamps are sent at your risk. When you have completed your purchases, please send us an email advising us about the postal service you prefer and how you wish to pay and we will send you an invoice. Thank you.

We combine postage costs. As mentioned above, if you have purchased more than one item, you only pay the postage rate on the item with our highest postal tariff code; your other purchases are included at no extra postage cost. The Postal Tariff Code(s) applicable to your purchase(s), are shown in the lot description(s). Stamps are sent at the buyer's risk. Please check below the table of charges for any special notes about your country. The standard inland and overseas mail, as well as the 'Signed For' services, do NOT include postal insurance. If you require full insurance cover for your purchases, be sure to ask us for the 'Insured' option. Insured letters sent outside the European Union sometimes require customs declarations; please let us know of any special requirements you may have in respect of this.
PayPal is not an available payment method for UK customers

Delivery Times :
We usually send out ordinary mail on an almost daily basis but items which need to be taken to a post office, i.e. anything requiring a signature, are typically only dispatched a couple of times a week, as the post office is some distance away.
Once the letters are in the hands of the post office, delivery times can vary enormously. Mail to France, Germany, The Netherlands, Scandinavia, Belgium and Switzerland is usually quite fast; mail to Italy and Spain is often slow; mail to the USA is quite erratic. Many other parts of the world are slow. Please allow a reasonable time before contacting us about undelivered items.
Note to UK customers : We can deliver to stamp fairs we are attending, if you wish. There is a list of our fairs on the Paper Heritage website.
Packaging :
We try to strike a good balance between protecting items in the post and keeping the postal costs (weight) low. Where a purchase could be placed in a very small envelope, however, we sometimes choose to use a larger envelope than is necessary, in order to improve security.

Royal Mail in Britain is reasonably secure and we rarely lose anything internal or to reliable countries abroad. You will be aware of the risks regarding mail into your own country, and it seems most logical to leave it to you to assess this risk, and for you to select an appropriate postal method for your purchases. Clearly, the value of the purchases will affect your decision.

Yes, unfortunately, much of the world seems to have insecure postal services, which adds to everyone's costs and work-load.
Please note that we often use quite large numbers of older commemorative stamps on the mail which we send out, which most customers appreciate. However, if you think that drawing too much attention to your letter might be a problem, please let us know and we shall use less eye-catching stamps.

1. We accept PayPal from non-UK customers.There are certain high risk countries (see above) where we may apply special conditions to postal sendings, unless sent by registered insured post. . See also our Shipping & Handling section with regard to high risk countries.
2. We only accept Skrill (formerly moneybookers) if you have no other way of paying. Please contact us.
3. In exceptional circumstances, we accept cash in Pounds Sterling and Euros only; all monies are sent at your risk and should be sent by registered post. Send only banknotes, not coins. Cash should never be sent from Spain by ordinary airmail post and sending cash by post is not legal in certain countries.
If you are due change from your banknote(s) in excess of one pound sterling, we shall send you mint (valid for postage) British stamps as change. Alternatively, if you are a regular customer paying in cash, we shall be happy to hold any change in credit on account for you. Please remind us in such cases, when making a new purchase.
4. Please note that Britain is not in the Euro Zone. We can accept bank transfers in Sterling, but all the costs at both ends must be met by the buyer. Alternatively we are happy to accept Bank Drafts in Sterling drawn on a British Bank - please do not use either of these methods without contacting us first. We can supply IBAN and BIC details on request.
5. We do NOT accept postage stamps in payment.
Payment Deadlines
We often have both auctions and 'buy now' on Delcampe. If you have already won an auction lot, or made some 'buy now' purchases and you are waiting on the result of another auction bid with us, we are happy to wait a reasonable time, so that you can combine purchases. Just send us an email, letting us know how long the auction(s) still have to run. Otherwise, we would ask customers please to make payment within 7 days of our invoice date. If, for any reason, that is a problem, please send us an email. Good communication can prevent lots of unnecessary problems.
If you wish to purchase something but would need to spread payment over a period of up to three months, we can usually accommodate this request. Please contact us before buying an item (or bidding on a lot) to seek our agreement. We do not charge any interest on such arrangements.
