Canton of Graubünden
Das Bildmotiv der Graubünden Briefmarke zeigt eine stilistische Darstellung der Landschaft des gebirgigen Kantons. Beim genauen Betrachten scheint es, dass der Gestalter sich an der Landschaft der Oberengadiner Seen inspirierte. So kann man beispielsweise im linken Teil die beiden nahe zusammen stehenden Gipfel dem Monte Gruf 2936m und Monte Conco 2908m zuordnen. Die Bergkette rechts stellt den Gebirgskamm mit den Gipfeln von Piz Cam 2634m, Cima di Rosso 2594m, Piz Lizun 2549m und Piz Duan 3131m dar. Das typische Merkmal auf die Bergkette aus Sicht der Engadiner Seen sind die beiden kleinen spitzen Gipfel von Cima di Rosso und Piz Lizun. Die Landschaft ist in den Farben und dem Licht des goldenen Herbst dargestellt, in welcher die Lärchenwälder des Ober-Engadin goldig leuchten. Das Bild ist ergänzt durch den Bündner Steinbock und einem Adler. Über dem Bild steht der Name des Kantons in den drei in Graubünden gesprochenen Sprachen; Deutsch, Italienisch und Rätoromanisch.

Le motif du timbre des Grisons montre une représentation stylistique du paysage de ce canton montagneux. En y regardant de plus près, il semble que le créateur se soit inspiré du paysage des lacs de Haute-Engadine. Ainsi, dans la partie gauche, les deux sommets proches peuvent être attribués au Monte Gruf 2936m et au Monte Conco 2908m. La chaîne de montagnes à droite représente la crête avec les sommets du Piz Cam 2634m, Cima di Rosso 2594m, Piz Lizun 2549m et Piz Duan 3131m. La caractéristique typique de la chaîne de montagnes vue des lacs de l'Engadine sont les deux petits sommets pointus de Cima di Rosso et Piz Lizun. Le paysage est représenté dans les couleurs et la lumière de l'automne doré, dans lequel les forêts de mélèzes de la Haute-Engadine brillent d'un éclat doré. L'image est complétée par le bouquetin des Grisons et un aigle. Au-dessus de l'image figure le nom du canton dans les trois langues parlées dans les Grisons ; l'allemand, l'italien et le romanche.

Il motivo del francobollo dei Grigioni mostra una rappresentazione stilizzata del paesaggio del cantone montuoso. A ben guardare, sembra che il disegnatore si sia ispirato al paesaggio dei laghi dell'Alta Engadina. Ad esempio, nella sezione di sinistra, le due cime vicine possono essere attribuite al Monte Gruf 2936m e al Monte Conco 2908m. La catena montuosa sulla destra rappresenta la cresta con le cime del Piz Cam 2634 m, della Cima di Rosso 2594 m, del Piz Lizun 2549 m e del Piz Duan 3131 m. Le due piccole cime appuntite della Cima di Rosso e del Piz Lizun sono una caratteristica tipica della catena montuosa vista dai laghi engadinesi. Il paesaggio è rappresentato con i colori e la luce dell'autunno dorato, in cui i boschi di larici dell'Alta Engadina brillano d'oro. L'immagine è completata dallo stambecco dei Grigioni e da un'aquila. Sopra l'immagine è riportato il nome del cantone nelle tre lingue parlate nei Grigioni: tedesco, italiano e romancio.

The landscape is depicted in the colours and light of golden autumn, in which the larch forests of the Upper Engadin glow golden. The picture is complemented by the Grisons ibex and an eagle. Above the picture is the name of the canton in the three languages spoken in Graubünden: German, Italian and Romansh.
