New Systems - Observations - Archive, Despatch etc

Just a few things that come to mind:

    Despatch
    --------
I've noted that when you despatch items in the new system i.e. using the 'Awaiting Despatch' tab and click the 'item sent' button you are immediately moved to the 'Despatched' tab. This is a pain when you have more items 'Awaiting despatch' and logicially you want to stay in the 'Awaiting Despatch' tab. There is no real need to be going to 'Despatched'.

    Archive
    -------
My 'Archive' seems to go back as far as 2011! That's a lot of invoices and items sold. Now while I accept that there is a lot of great customer data here unless I download it and process it then it's not going to do much for me since Delcampe don't offer any analysis tools for reviewing this data. And there's no easy way to prune it .... drastically ..... as far as I can see.

The other concerning issue is the when you want to 'See all purchases' for a buyer the system seems to process heaps of data and provide all the invoices within the Archive or Despatched tabs - I'm not quite sure which. But what I do know is the processing overhead of doing this is significant with my PC going into overdrive. And I guess the bottom line on this is that I'm usually really only wanting to see a list of the current purchases invoiced!

    Search
    ------
I really would prefer 'searches' that worked in the same way as the 'old' system and the same as that available when looking at 'Ongoing' items. The 'new' search is horrendous to use for simple searches where you just want to isolate a single item perhaps for the basis of a 'Sell Similar' listing.

    The 'ALL' tab
    -------------
This was meant to replicate the 'old' system and as we all know has failed miserably in this respect. It is as good as redundant. It doesn't show items in the chronological order of time of sale which I think most of us wanted and you can't send an invoice from here. So does it have any purpose / value?

Perhaps others can correct or clarify or amplify on my observations.
Trying to be constructive given that the 'new' is what we are going to have to work with.

you can select in your Settings in each tab if you want to follow the invoice or if you want to stay in the actual tab.

    BUT

those preferences (with or w/o image, compact or detailled) sometimes seem to change automatically - without having selected them

    BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

it really keeps me guessing WHAT'S the use of those various Tabs
    :dunno:

before I could see at first view the state of my sales - now confusion rules.

    Thanks for that insight.
I hadn't grasped what that selection meant.
I have changed my setting and will try it out tomorrow.
