Invoice - amusing

Maybe others have already noticed this but I only picked it up this evening when preparing an invoice for a buyer - yes a rarity these days a sale.

When the invoice detail is first presented the 'Total to Pay' will show, for example, £5.00.

    Then add P & P, for example, £1.00

The Total to Pay goes into reverse, for example, 5.50£

And I think the buyer receives the invoice as 5.50GBP?

Bizarre ... was it always like this or is this a quirk of the new system too?

no no - this is a brand new Feature :D

just go ahead and send your invoice - when you get the confirmation mail you will notice that by grace from above the correct total has finally summed up.

btw KUDOS for your most impressive appeal posted this evening:rose:

I only wished your efforts would have found the acknowledge they deserve.
instead of being IGNORED by those people

You made me look at some of my invoices.

The old ones also show 2.00 GBP, but the new ones are dropping the .00 when there is a nice round amount, i.e.

    Item sold: 20.00 GBP
    Total for purchases: 20 GBP
    p&p: 2 GBP
    Total to pay: 22 GBP

This just looks so thoroughly unprofessional.

My OH recently retired and for a while now I've been considering whether I should give up the postcards. Delcampe may just push me in that direction.

Surely it is a fundamental rule worldwide that when dealing with currency the decimal fraction is *always* shown, even if this is zero (unless the currency doesn't have any fractions of course)

Not so in Belgium it appears...
