    Hi there

    I think that you're having problems because you haven't activated your Delcampe Wallet. You don't have to use the wallet - but its designed to make life easier and seems to work quite well in my experience.

    When you pay using the wallet, Delcampe will update the sale to 'paid'. This not only tells you that you've paid, it also tells your seller that you've paid (otherwise, unless he checks his paypal account he might not realise that you have paid). If you pay through a means other than the wallet you need to update the sale status manually to 'paid' by clicking on the little icon that says paid. That should work - but personally I'd use the wallet and let the automated system update everything and that way you know your seller has been notified of your payment.

    I think that you should be able to link your PayPal account without actually adding funds - the same with Skrill. Although Skrill allows you to add funds if you want to it isn't compulsory - but it can be handy. Obviously, in terms of buyer protection, Paypal is your best option.
