    Hi Ryszard,

    There is a way only to pay commission over the discount price:
    When you have an agreement with your buyer, he (officially) has to give you a lower offer (through Delcampe). When you'll accept the offer, you'll only have to pay commission over the agreed price.
    It works. You'll try.

    There is a way only to pay commission over the discount price:

    Hi Monkeyman,

    There's nothing tricky to it.
    I suppose the buyer contacts the seller to make a deal about any discount.
    So nothing has happened at that point.
    If seller and buyer agree about a certain discount, the buyer can offer a lower bid on Delcampe (everything according to the rules). He can even do this without contacting the seller first.
    The seller accepts this lower bid and he only has to pay commission on that price!
    Simple as that.

    If you don't have anything to do....don't do it here!
    We know all the stories by now: Vietnam....medic....children....grandchildren..... member 30?.....etc etc.
    So give my regards to Clifton Chenier back in Louisiana ( a Cajun I admire very much...although I don't know if he is still alive) and please don't use this forum as a chat-box any more!

    I don't see the problem. If the buyer bids without asking for a discount, then why should you give him one?
    If he does ask for a discount before bidding, you can suggest my solution. But if you want to give him the discount after the transaction, then you have to pay commission over the full amount.
    There is an option on Delcampe to place lower bids, so there's nothing against it to use that option as a buyer!

    PS Sorry if I seem a bit harsh towards Cajunsr. It's OK by me if he wants to tell everyone about all the things that are important to him, but let him do it in the proper category: "Everything and Nothing" or "Say it with a Smile":wink2:
    And as long as he sticks to the subject, I hope to see him often on the Forum!
