    Hi Guys,

    I´m a native English speaker but I´m not an English speaker. Not even a speaker at all. I only speak English as the native I am but I´m not an English native at all. I have only adopted English as well as my native fellows has indeed as well too, no?

    Alice´s Adventures in Wonderland is a good book for everyone who likes to learn how to speak English. Just find the English copy and you will get the understanding of life beyond earth on earth as a bonus. Then you can always make a visit to the Houses of Parliament and find out that all is true about other dimensions.

    (Don´t try to be a smart a.. to get the German copy for to learn German or you will end up in total disorder like me.) The original is better than a bad copy right? (Did I said something wrong now?)

    P.S. I though this forum was the "Large English Forum" where the natives of the world roll along with their own English as they please and not a specific American Forum as I can´t hardly find any americanEnglish here but a lot of natives mixing it up even with french. (I didn´t say anything about flags today right?)

    P.S.S. Do someone (seriously!) knows where I can find the rules for English abbrevations? :dunno: So long Esquires.

    Hi Guys,

    I´m a native English speaker but I´m not an English speaker. Not even a speaker at all. I only speak English as the native I am but I´m not an English native at all. I have only adopted English as well as my native fellows has indeed as well too, no?

    I was looking for what seems not to exist - rules for English abbrevations. I have a bunch of dictionaries but thought it could be a better way than to use an alphabetic search. Anyway, many thanks for the answer.

    I think I have to be a native to get the right feeling for making an English abbrevation by myself. To find what an abbrevation stands for is much easier.

    P.S. I think it´s time to start a new subject as Delcampe already
    have their Ambassadors on alert and the rules are set for "what
    is what" about stamps and how it should be or we shall have a new flag issue. I wish them good luck and let´s see how it will develope. So far
    nothing spectacular bad. I was a Lundy collector myself when I was a child but I didn´t had the information about it as I have today....I was even offered some 30 years ago the whole stock for pennies as it was stuck together by wet, so perhaps what we see today are reprints?

    Dear fellow,

    Happy to read your texts and have to print it out as I´m a slow learner.

    When I know it´s a woman and I don´t have the slightest idea what the "statues" might be I use Ms. (with a dot) since a long time ago but I have never figured out how to pronounce it. Once I heard an Englisman reading a letter for the audience and two times in a row he pronounced "Ms.". First as Mzzzz and second as M(r)iiiz and he was not drunk . If you pronouce it "EM-ES" it sounds like Multiple Sclerosis for me. How about you?

    P.S. I like the french way to spell family names in capitals but it would be nice when people send a message via computer forms to use their names as for me it´s a little frustrating to reply to "Dear StamplordXXL" but I assume he is a man collecting big stamps
