Greeting cards system

Some days ago, we thought of offering to members the possibility of sending greeting cards to other members. Yesterday, we finally gave shape to this idea and decided to give it a try by only sending some E-cards to a few members. Only members we had sent the E-card to knew about it and no announcement was made on the website.

Surprisingly, the E-cards we had sent to a few members have spread up very quickly ! We never expected these E-cards to be so successful. But along with this surprise came an unwanted effect : some of you, especially the most active users, have received too many E-cards.

Therefore, since the purpose of this E-card was obviously not to annoy members, some of us have spent the night working on a solution in order to stop these E-cards from pouring down. You can now do this by clicking on the following link :

We also take the opportunity to tell you how this works...

E-cards can either be sent manually (by typing nicknames or email addresses) or automatically (by choosing all your buyers/sellers of the year 2005).

Automatic mode:
- Only members you have left a positive feedback to (100%) during the year 2005 will receive a greeting card.
- Since last night, you do not need to go on the website to see the greeting cards you have received, they are directly sent to your electronic mail box.

Manual mode:
- Since this morning, members cannot send E-cards twice to the same email address or to someone who has previously set his parameters in order not to receive E-cards.


E-cards are sent by members, not by us. Each member has the possibility to send or not greeting cards. Therefore, if you have received a greeting card from someone, it is certainly because this person has been happy to deal with you during the year 2005 or because he has typed your email address manually.

In any case, we took care of protecting your personal info. Email addresses cannot be found thanks to nicknames or vice-versa. The only way for you to make your email address visible to others is to send E-cards directly from your mail box, just as if you were sending an email.

Now that you have the possibility not to accept greeting cards sent by other members, we are going to announce this on our homepage and in the Newsletter.

We are sorry for the annoyance this has caused to some of you and we hope that you understand this was not the purpose.
