I haven't been at home the whole day, and when I now open my site, I can see that there haven't been any sales for now 18 hours, and only very few visits and only at a little part of my auctions.
Is it because of all those Errors every day at the moment, that the buyers and also some sellers are saying bye bye Delcampe, and find alternative auction sites ??
I think so, and I have also noticed that some of my very good buyers haven't bought from me for Months now.
Delcampe was a very good auction site until the new Platform, but since that, it is only getting one way, and it's not the better way.

Maybe Delcampe should be giving us all a progress report as to how the transfer to the new servers is progressing and an estimated time when all the chaos should abate. We have been paying increased fees for a deteriorating service which is resulting in fewer buyers when it should be the opposite - better service with an increase in at least visitors.

Yes its very sad but Delcampe, which used to be one of my major selling platforms, has slipped into my "also ran" section.

Several of my regular buyers are now buying from me on other sites....with no prompting from me I hasten to add....and I assume that those buyers will be lost to Delcampe permanently.

And I note that my shop "rankings" have not diminished significantly despite dwindling sales....so I have to assume that its pretty dire here for most sellers.

Maybe with its constant short-staffed claims, Delcampe may be repositioning itself in the auction market? I suggest this as it is increasingly difficult for me to believe that any professional site can flounder for so long and survive in its present form. :whiteflag:

Error 500 pages again when I search the site. If I can't find what I'm looking for then neither can my customers!

Reluctantly I am starting to shift some of my inventory to other sites - mostly because of all the glitches I am encountering and the seeming decline in visitors to my items and the consequent drop in sales.

There seems to be no end in sight to the current instability despite the recent fee increases. So for the present my new listings are going elsewhere. This may be a little self defeating as new items tend to attract new visitors and buyers but if we, the sellers, are moaning about all the problems we seem to encounter on a daily basis - what about the buyers? They do not need patience as there is plenty of more stable competition to go to for their buying.

I too am listing new items now elsewhere, cant go on like this, seems from the announcement this morning the problems will go on into next year and what with the increased fees and decline in sales it as just become a waste of time listing here, pity as this use to be my number one selling place.

Like everyone else, I too am seeing a considerable decrease in the number of visitors to my shop and of views - probably down in the region of 50% in the past few months.

Whist it is good to know that problems are being resolved, albeit very slowly, it remains to be seen what is left by the time everything is sorted out. My main concern is who will be left to buy by that time, sometime in 2018 apparently.

I have resisted the temptation so far to migrate to other sites, but it is becoming harder to resist the need to do so. My sales totals in money terms have been masked by a few larger single item sales in the past 3 months but even those have dried up and currently my Delcampe fees are less than I have been paying for the last 2 years, and that includes the significant fees hike.

Even if the problems ARE sorted in the next few months, how long will it take, if ever, to return the site to where it was a few years ago?

    Hello everyone,

We're aware of the slowness and the errors (which are a consequence of the former). These usually occur at peak times (6 PM GMT+1).

We have some leads and are currently investigating them, which is why you're seeing maintenance on the auto-complete feature for instance.

Expect to see maintenance on other features in the next few days.

I started to send mailouts to some of my lapsed customers with links to items that might interest them on Delcampe. With very little success. Today I tried some of those links and the pages took so long to load I 'm not surprised my old customers have not returned. They probably gave up waiting!

    This situation cannot go on.
