Is there are time period where the traffic is SO HEAVY that it makes the International selection server slow to a crawl?

Sometimes I'm on at 1 - 3 AM Eastern Standard Time U.S. and it seems like it goes to sleep.

Please advise on the heaviest traffic times that I should avoid.

I'm am just getting started to become a little disgruntled about the speed, access and response time.

Believe me, I have many $1,000 of dollars of goods to sell, but if I can't do any marketing, looking around, checking things out, then I may have to make other plans. I really would not want to do that.

I like it here, but DO NOT like the curb crawling server speed.

BTW, before asking me to check my DSL speed, I get at least 3 Meg download and 384 K upload speeds, checked on several speed test sites.

This has only started happening to me about 2 - 3 weeks ago or so. Maybe a little longer because I haven't kept count.

    Any ideas?

I suspect you have a bad time particularly about 3am EST as this equates to 8am GMT (in UK) and 9am CET (most of W. Europe). I have always reckoned from timing of bids, questions and even input into the forums, that many people on the other side of the 'pond' from yourself. either get on first thing before going to work or possibly even at work, or if like myself, no longer otherwise gainfully employed, after breakfast!

Having said that, I've found the International server extremely slow in the last couple of days, particularly today, where to call it snail's pace would be an insult to snails! Let's hope we get a fix soon as i have material to list but don't fancy spending all day doing it!

    Moonstone,

Hopefully! You are right, however, to avoid early A.M. times. I should probably do my stuff when it's 3 A.M. over there...

Glad to hear the International has sped up some. Have some ideas as to the "crawl", but they may be technical and not related to an ISP or Internet connection.
