Images are uploading super slow this morning...

    It seems highly variable. Some take forever and others load instantly.
    Listing is taking me a lot longer again as a result.
    I have never used a bulk lister on any site, because provided the site works properly, I can't really see much benefit; regardless on how I list I still have to type all the info and scan the images. I normally scan next item while listing one item and usually there is no waiting time - at the moment I am waiting around for images to upload, basically sitting here wasting time.
    I really hope we are not going to be in for a long haul of problems like we had at the end of last year and the site is short of server capacity again.

    This morning it was so bad, that I gave up listing for a while. I really hope this gets sorted soon, because I get very frustrated with it.

    I have just abandoned another attempt at listing, because the images are not uploading.

    I wish Delcampe would let us know what is going on and when the situation will be remedied.

    Tomato juice was something I drank by the litre during my 2nd pregnancy - I've never touched the stuff since. My first pregnancy it was pineapple juice and I've never drank that again.

    Do you post 1 item at a time? I set up batches of stuff, as follows:

    1) Place items on stock sheets, until I run out of stock sheets. :)

    2) Scan all sheets at one time, back to back. The settings will be exactly the same.

    3) Crop all items, because there are sometimes 20 - 40 items per stock sheet. (When I do this, there's a numbering scheme I use.) I have a GREAT cropping tool that works in reverse of all other cropping tools I've ever used. I can crop a whole sheet without closing and re-opening the sheet.

    4) Since there are multiple same items I upload, the Lister pays dividends. On repeating items, if the price is the same, I just change my "internal reference number" and the scan. So, if there are 10 items, they go quickly.

    5) When I finish a page, I upload the items after verifying - I do make some mistakes and sometimes change them on-line.

    6) I then archive what I sent in Lister, an easy way to look at what I sent and re-use previous info.

    7) Then I move all the scans to a final resting place.

    Seems like a lot of work, but the bulk is in the front and there's very little waiting time for 20 - 40 small items.

    With post cards it may be harder because your product is mostly different. That's where you lose time with Lister.

    So far, I like it but there are a few "wish list" things I'd like to see added.

    I don't use the bulk lister.
    We are still having on and off problems with images being slow to upload and this morning I was having problems to upload the auctions once all the info had been typed in.
    If things don't improve I may well download the lister, because that way I can work offline and once I send it to upload, I can get on with something else. When the site works smoothly, I don't think there would be much, if any, benefit for me to use the lister.

    Yes, as mentioned, you are doing one-off cards, I presume?

    The only benefit is to be off-line and then do them all at one time. There's "control" on the front end, but when uploaded, we don't have any control on the back end.

    I will say this, however - one of the coolest features is to be able to download what you've uploaded -or- what you've sold. I had to re-create 1,000 US records (items) and was able to download the entire bunch.

    So, if I screw up, I can repair it.

    The same goes for lister. If you do your stuff on-line and something happens, as has in the past, like hard drives going down and so forth, all you need to do is to re-send them instead of typing them all over again. That's the paranoid approach, but since I work in the computer field and have lost program code, I work smarter, not harder.

    Different items have different needs.

    Keep the faith - it could always be worse! :D
