Question about a sent lot not received after 9 Months.

    14-3-2024 I sent a big lot to a buyer in India as ordinary mail (the buyer only pay for ordinary mail via Paypal).
    Today 14-12-2024 I receive a message that he haven't yet received my sending.
    It's the first and only message I've got from the buyer, since I shipped the sending 12-3-2024.
    9 Months ago and no message to me before now is a very long time after I sent the lot to my buyer.
    What shall I do now????

    For me after 9 months he is too late to make a claim. Personally my cutoff point is three months for missing items. Just the other day I had a claim from a Vietnamese buyer who had not received their order after two and a half months I simply refunded him. If it had been more than three months then he would have to bear the loss.

    For me is 9 Months also too long time to make a claim.
    If I got claims within 3 Months I also use to refund at once, and after 4 Months I simply delete all my emails regarding to my sold items.

    A "big lot" (as you wrote) is likely to be a large envelope. Perhaps that is why the shipment ended up at customs and is waiting for something to happen.

    Yes a big lot of 37 covers packed in a large envelope without any declarations.
    I have more times sent large envelopes outside EU, and have never heard about problems.
    I have refunded payments to buyers, and also got a new payment, when the buyers received their bought covers after 3-4 Months and 1 after ½ Year.
    I have also after nearly 7 Months got a letter back from Turkey, and then shipped it again in the same envelope by agreement with my buyer.
    4 days later my buyer write back, that he had received the letter. "strange things happens"
