I have just received a message (and refunded payment back) from a client in Austria who was letting me know that an order sent over a year ago by Registered and Insured mail has arrived.

It seems to have spent its time languishing in Asia as it had transit stamps from Hong Kong, Shanghai and several others that could not be deciphered. I had given up on this ages ago and refunded my client long since. My claim for this item is still somewhere in our illustrious Post Office claims department bowels so just shows how efficient they are!

At least my customer was happy - and honest enough to send me the refunded payment.

There are good people out there and it mostly does get there eventually! Still fail to undertstand how a letter from UK to Switzerland took over 6 weeks recently!
It easily beats my record of over 7 months for a registered package to French Polynesia, albeit that was in the middle of the 1st wave of the pandemic.
