    I think the identifying factor lies in that pattern on his coat. I tried a google image search cropping in on that pattern, but the photo is not high enough resolution to get a large enough clear sample. I thought it looked Finnish:)

    Hi,

    Looking at this photograph, I asked myself what is in the red frame (see below) (is this a kind of a map?) and what is in the green frame (is this a kind of a Chinese symbol or is it simply an ornament?).

    At first sight, I thought the coat was Tibetan or Himalayan, but I couldn't find any other examples...

    Looking at this photograph, I asked myself what is in the red frame (see below) (is this a kind of a map?) and what is in the green frame (is this a kind of a Chinese symbol or is it simply an ornament?).
