Stationery & Postal Card catalogues

    I collect a lot of stationery and postal cards. Many are non-US but the Scott's catalog doesn't help identify, date or value foreign stationery.

    Is there a good general catalog (multi-volume, like Scott, is OK) which lists this? I'm somewhat familiar with Michel and SG but don't own any because of the cost. Is the best route to get an SG for British/colonies stationery, Michel for German/colonies, etc? Is there any on-line references which show catalog #s, dates, values, etc? Has anyone ever seen these foreign catalogs in US libraries? (local branches carry the Scott catalogs)
