    Many 'Hitler Head' stamps were used after WWII ended in the Russian Occuaption Zone with various overprinted markings to deface the head itself - they are classified by Michel as local issues, as generally they were specific to one town or area. They can be valuable if genuine but Michel notes that there are many forgeries.
