    Hi friends.
Can anyone identify this stamp? ts Greek stamp overprinted for N Epirus with additional centime overprint and double headed Albanian eagle. Any chance its the French administration period of Koritsa in late 1916?

Any help with catalog reference or value much appreciated

    Hello Embersplace and Cajun's,
For Embersplace my name is Phil or Philippe and I am mostly on the french forum.
I search in my catalogue MICHEL of South Europe 2002/2003 and I found your stamp.
It is issued in 1916 and there are 5 different stamps from the North Epirus grabbed from the greeks. Your is the first and it's letter is in roman "I" (there is I, II, III, IV and V). Your stamp has the colour red and its quotation are in none mint 250 € and cancelled 200 €. They (the stamps) have all the same overprint but only the value are changing. The different values are 10 centimes on 2 lepta (red), 10 centimes on 2 lepta (rose), 25 centimes on 3 lepta (red), 25 centimes on 20 lepta (outremer I do not know the word in english, sorry), 25 centimes on 50 lepta (lily grey). The centimes are of course the french cents and lepta are the greek cents. The serie in from the town Korça and it is for the albanian military post. But as I know it was a time that this region and all Albania was under french control.
    Well that's it, I wish I was complementary.:gna:

Hi....yes. I am married to a Filipina and moved out here last year. Don't know whether we will stay here or not just yet. You are right.... the friendly elephant is from Thailand.....I just wondered if anyone would spot the "deliberate" error.

Your friend from the French forum helped a lot. Thanks.

Anyway, regards to your daughter-in-law from her provincial friends....we are in the Visayas & very rural.

    Best wishes
    Mike.
