I am aware that this may not be the best place to complain, but:

Back in November I ordered something from "the big river", which was supposed to be available around the middle of November - up to now I've received several messages indicating delays in availability. I still don't have a firm delivery date.

Beginning of this month I ordered something from the same site, which was supposed to be available from the 22nd. This was meant to be a Xmas present. I specified/opted to pay for "priority delivery" in order to get it to my recipient in time for Xmas. However, today I received a message, that the item in question will not be available until 23/1.

I've been left highly unimpressed with this. We regularly pre-order items in advance of their release date, but up to now the sites we order from have always delivered on or before their estimatrd delivery time.

There was an article on the BBC website yesterday about a particular delivery company which was being very tardy in delivering stuff, so it's possible you've been caught up in that - even the 'big river company' admitted they couldn't get through on the help line, which speaks volumes!

I've been lucky that all my deliveries from there have come by Royal Mail or other couriers

Have a great family time though, despite your non-deliveries
