    This message comes from France, sorry I don't speak german.

    This is a letter sent from BAD STEBEN to TÜBINGEN on 25.1.46.
    It seams that it is not an administrative letter.
    Could you explain me why this letter has no stamp. What means the two red letters P.S.

    I think it means "Postsache" (PS),

    so the Receiver pays Shipping Costs.

    Doesn't "Postsache" mean that it's a letter sent by the Deutsche Post which hence doesn't need a stamp? That would match the adressee, a stamp dealer.

    Das ist eine übliche Barfreimachung ( Das Porto wurde direkt bezahlt und durch den Stempel bestätigt ) in Ermangelung von Briefmarken .
    Der Ort lag in der SBZ / Thüringen .
    Das P.S. könnte Privat Sache heisen da der Empfänger ein Händler war .

    Nein, Bad Steben lag in der amerikanischen Besatzungszone.
