Sending reminders when marked as payment sent

    A Belgium customer had marked a large order as 'payment sent' a few seeks ago,

    I never received the payment, and have not got a reply to polite emails.

    I thought I would send a payment reminder, but it seems it is impossible to send a reminder when an invoice has been marked as 'payment sent' (even though payment has not been received!)

    When clicking on the 'reminder' link it just displays the invoice stating that payment has been sent. It does not send a reminder.

    I just noticed that, after trying to send a reminder, the date of the invoice has changed to today's date!

    There is still no indication that any reminder has been sent though!

    Did you not receive an advice that says a 'reminder' has been sent.

    If not I suspect that nothing happened.

    In my view there should be another step in the 'reminder' process that allows you to add a comment ... and then you select a click button to 'send the reminder'. That way you have a little more confidence that something has happened. [The workaround is to 'edit' the invoice and send]

    Just another area that's not quite right. I can see this 'new' system sucking in Delcampe technical resources for some time to come.

    In respect to the issue that caused the problem - I think that 'payment received' should override 'payment sent'.

    No I never received anything.

    I ended up sending a copy of the original invoice directly to my customer, I used the original email I got when I first issued the invoice. I did this directly from my email account as it was impossible to do it via Delcampe.

    Sounds like another glitch ... just like the two sales I had recently that just 'weren't in the system' to be invoiced!

    I have the same problem with a payment reminder to an Austrian buyer.
    She marked the symbol as paid, but never pay to Paypal or Skrill.
    I send her an email and asked how she paid me.
    She read the email but she never answered me, and now I can't send a payment reminder.

    Yes, its really annoying.

    My customer still hasn't paid.

    I should be able to send a reminder via Delcampe if a payment hasn't been received!

    AS I suspected this is a Delcampe 'Gotcha'.

    The buyer should not be able to say that an item is paid. Maybe there is a case for another icon or feature for the buyer to use that indicates that a payment has been sent.

    This is a crazy situation ... maybe you will have to cancel the transaction to get the buyer to respond ... and deal with the transaction outside Delcampe. Not ideal but just a thought.

    The buyer should not be able to say that an item is paid. Maybe there is a case for another icon or feature for the buyer to use that indicates that a payment has been sent.

    This is a crazy situation ... maybe you will have to cancel the transaction to get the buyer to respond ... and deal with the transaction outside Delcampe. Not ideal but just a thought.

    Delcampe also needs to do some programming to sort out this anomaly / restriction on the seller. There is obviously a(nother) glitch in the design.

    Yes, so would I. I actually did this once a year or so back but gave neutral feedback rather than negative. Nothing more happened & that was the end of it.

    Now I don't know whether to send the invoice again , which I can do now that its not showing payment sent , of whether I would just be duplicating what Delcampe have already done and risk spamming my buyer.

    Because when I tried to send a reminder today it said I couldn't send one until next Wednesday morning because I'd already sent one 'less than 7 days ago'

    And when I then looked more closely at the invoice it did indeed say at the top that I had sent an invoice this morning! (which was news to me!).
