    Stay away from Skrill, it is a scam website!
    I could no longer receive payments and therefore wanted to close my account, but that's when the real problems started. However, finally I was able to get my money withdrawn. Now I feel lucky I closed my account.

    Actually it is very interesting that Delcampe still keeps supporting Skrill! Have you googled reviews of people using Skrill lately? For example
    - Link (https) (1.5 stars out of 10)
    - Link (https) (still 3 stars out 5 but getting worse all the time)
    - Link (https) (stars still 3/5, but all recent reviews are negative)

    Skrill receives terrible reviews from people having all kinds of problems. Skrill is unreliable and Delcampe should seriously consider stopping to support it.

    From memory, Delcampe used Skrilll (moneybookers) as its sole online payment option way before it introduced paypal, so its not really surprising that it is retained even though I personally would never dream of using it nowadays.

    Trouble is, Skrill has been sold a couple of times this millenium and now seems to major in online gambling....

    I always think it best to provide at least 2 online payment options to buyers......but iif Skrill is the only other option to paypal, maybe Delcampe would be wise to seek alternatives.

    Moneybookers was perfectly fine payment system and I used it intensively as a good alternative to PayPal. For Delcampe it was OK to support Moneybookers then. When Moneybookers became Skrill, the system was OK in the beginning, but since then it has gained a really bad reputation worldwide. Due to many many problems, the customer service has become practically non-functional. It is really risky to keep any money on the Skrill account and my suggestion is to try to withdraw your money from your account before it is too late.

    This said, I am looking forward to decent alternatives to PayPal.

When Moneybookers became Skrill, the system was OK in the beginning, but since then it has gained a really bad reputation worldwide.     Although the number of people paying with Skrill has declined, I still have a couple of regular repeat customers who pay with Skrill only. But I have a Skrill card so any money on it gets used pretty quickly
