I think the following comment from one of my customers sums up a major problem with the 'new' Delcampe when customers visit a Store.
'Main problem is that I cannot see what countries you have. It is totally frustrating'.

I know that it is possible to get a summary of all the country categories that have listings in. However, knowing how to do it isn't intuitive in my opinion. And the summary appears half way down the page! And any sub-categories require another click! Anyone used to the 'old' site will find this method of display confusing and frustrating and long-winded.

Delcampe has to review their approach to Store presentation. At the moment it just doesn't work. Customers need to very quickly get a view of what the Store might have to offer ... then they'll need to filter the listings. At the moment everything looks over complicated and buried.

The design isn't conducive to keeping the buyer interested.

That's a bit of input for Mr Delcampe.

    Hello,

This week, we change the categories model back to the one of the previous site (as it should have always been). Next week (at latest), we change the store categories model back to the one of the previous site ;)

Have you made this change yet?
It is now worse than ever for a buyer to work out what Categories my listings appear in!
The hierarchy links seem to present the 'hierarchy' of the site rather than my Shop. It is bizarre.

On top of that issue there is a sponsored link (advert) running alongside my Shop offering a discount of 20%. There is no name of the sponsor and quite frankly I could easily mistake (as a buyer) that the offer relates to my Shop!

I have had a couple of customers complain to me about this. Alas, they've given up on Delcampe, at least for now.

At the moment the changes that appear to have been made to the Categories model within the Seller's Shop are unhelpful and indeed make the situation much worse. What buyers want to see is a category hierarchy model for the Seller's Shop (not the whole site) similar to what was available in the old system. At a glance they were able to see all the Categories the Seller was listing in without having to work backwards and forwards through an awkward tree structure!
And further they don't want to be taken out of the Shop into the overall site hierarchy model. I don't understand why this requirement is so difficult for Delcampe to understand. While the current inadequate features remain in place I am convinced that Seller's are losing sales and Buyers are just 'walking away' from the site.

I miss the category list as presented in the old 'Marketplace' facility - the new site looks pretty but is so slow displaying pages and lists when trying to do some maintenance on a PC - assuming you can work out what is where anyway!

Looks like this has been fixed at last.
