To me, as a buyer, one of the saddest thing about the new site is the search feature.

On the old site, there were options for "Advanced syntax", "All words", "Any word" and "Exact sentence". No more. And no clue as to how it handles a search with multiple words. :dunno:

There there was the option whether or not to "Search within descriptions". Also gone. And it seems that searches do always search within the description, which is not what I want to do.

Perhaps offering these options cluttered up the search feature too much for cellphone/tablet users, I don't know. But not for those of us on PCs!

    Hi,

Also lost is the option Preferences > Layout > All images (can be selected on the left side of the screen (old site) after executing a search).

This option was very important to me, as I'm also searching on certain senders or receivers of postcards. It allowed me to see immediately wich cards were written and which were not.

I'm not against the new site, but I can't go to it if it doesn't enable me to search.

    Best regards,

    Quasar

I see that one can uses "advanced search" syntax is working, e.g. key|word returns items matching either "key" or "word". And they have added back the option to NOT search descriptions.

One thing that I depend upon in the search results is the difference of color for links to items that I have already looked at from compared to the color of links for items that I have not looked for. Now the links are all the same, regardless.

And I note that the link at the right side to send in quick feedback has gone away.

Are you sure that your first statement is correct? I live in Philippines (currency PHP) but can sell on the new site in USD as my personal default currency......

There is a Canadian Delcampe site so the default is the Canadian Dollar.

There is no Philippine Delcampe site so presumably the default is the US Dollar?

Or maybe you can choose any 'Delcampe' currency? - Such as the Euro, $A or £'s Sterling etc.

In my current listings I have items listed in a variety of currencies though I am in the process of gradually changing them all to Pounds Sterling. I have not tried recently to list anything in another currency to see if I am stuck with Pounds Sterling as my default!

    Actually, the default is......the euro!

I list on International in my chosen default of USD, USA site in dollars too, UK site in sterling & Aussie site is $AS.

It seems to be possible to continue doing this but the default change buttons are well-hidden & buyers may not spot them.

I fully agree. One would expect that the new site brings considerable improvements of the search options.

Also the "View all images" option is a must. Without this the new site remains absolutely useless for me.
