I closed my Skrill account a year or so ago.

When I offered it alongside Paypal, I used to get just about enough payments through Skrill to pay my Delcampe fees.

And when I ditched it many of my buyers who used it swapped to Paypal.

My Paypal to Skrill ratio is more like 50 to 1 in favour of Paypal. Like Mainly I had considered closing mine as well but only kept it open because I have a couple of regular customers who use it.

I also use it to pay my Delcampe fees when there is sufficient in it to do so, and have only ever taken money from it a couple of times. Almost the only buyers who seem to use it are European, mainly French & Belgian.

The number of Skrill payments has gone down, in my experience. in the last few years, mostly because, I reckon, Paypal is a) more universally known, and b) appears to be more universally accepted across a large range of sites.
Also, from a buyer's perspective, there is probably no point in having 2 online payment methods, so the best known, Paypal, wins out every time.

If I was starting out now, I doubt whether I would bother signing up for it at all and only did so because when I started selling on Delcampe, it was their preferred payment method. In fact, I'm not sure that Delcampe accepted Paypal at all at that time.
