New System is confusing

My question is, why change something that didn't need changing? It was really simple to work one's way around the site, now with all these changes it's a confusing mess. Something that was so simple even a child could do it, has completely changed so that one is clicking here and there trying to find things. What's all this invoice nonsense? Totally unecessary. For someone with severe sight impairment, trust me it's a nightmare!:d-unhappy:

    Hello,
I asked the same question several times on both the English and the French boards.
Delcampe having zero consideration for users, they never bothered to reply.
Too busy trying to fix up the mess they threw at us, I suppose.

mmmmmmm....so did I. They are not 'fixing it up@ very well either!

Site has been going wrong ever since the 'sane' listing policy was announced. If this is 'sane' give me 'insane' every day!

In my opinion the person who thought this up should be sacked, and the CEO needs to rethink rapidly before users starting leaving and setting up their own websites! There was absolutely nothing at all wrong with the old system. It was efficient, and simple to use. I do not understand the logic of changing something that worked so well. Maybe someone who had a say in creating this mess, would come on here and answer our questions?

    Hello,

The CEO I am took his responsibilities. The CTO (Technical Manager) is not anymore in the company, and I now manage sorting this mess myself.

It will take at least one more week.

    Our apologies about that.

Thank you for responding. It is much appreciated. At least you are willing to admit there is a problem and working to correct it, and proves that you do indeed care about your members. I hope it's to put the old system back the way it was! Nothing needed improvement or fixing, as far as I could tell, Delcampe was one of my favourite sites because of it's simplicity to use. This sort of thing is what ruins initially good websites, by changing the layout and the way it works, when there is really no need to. It's an utter nightmare for people like myself with severe visual impairment.

Thanks for showing us your sense of humour and honesty.

Maybe we can stop nagging Sebastien for one more week as he suggested?

    Good luck.....

    Wow...

Thanks for the admission - and the apology.

I wish there had been quicker, more transparent communication that things were unsatisfactory and being fixed.

It has been frustrating for many of us.

May you be successful in completing the overhaul during the week ahead.

(p.s Isn't this the second CTO to move on after these selling/invoicing problems? If so, may you find someone with better skills in your hiring search.)

When you're doing the "fix", if you keep the new system here are two things to be changed:
Firstly: "Request an invoice" should allow the buyer to send any relevant information to the seller. For example, I am in Australia, and I must pay by PayPal or Skrill as bank transfer fees here are extortionate (~20 Euro). As it stands now, you get no chance to add a message when requesting an invoice, which is something you used to be able to do.
Secondly, the tab "Awaiting Shipment" should read "Shipped", because the trigger for a lot to be moved under this tab is the "shipped" icon to be selected. This is minor, but inaccurate.

Thanks for your prompt responses to the complaints.

Hi....until this glitch is fixed, I have suggested that customers request an invoice in the usual way and send any message via the 'ask a question' routine.

As a seller, the question & the request for invoice should land in my inbox about the same time.
