One-way feedback

    Hi,

I've noticed lately that some listings in my Won Bids list only show feedback icons for me to give, but none about me receiving, as in the screenshot attached.
Aren't all purchases subject to feedback? Some of my purchases are via set sale, and some auctions. Is it only one that I can receive feedback?

In essence, why are some listings only showing feedback one way?
Thanks for your time and help!

    Giving feedback is not compulsory.

As a seller I receive feedback on about two thirds of transactions. From those I receive none from I really do not give a fig - I sell items not feedback!

    So why worry about it?

My question is not about whether feedback is given, but is this phenomenon because the seller had opted out of the feedback system?
    Thanks

In addition, I understand the seller not getting feedback - a lot of buyers won't be bothered. But what I'm showing is that the buyer can leave feedback, but the seller has declined to be a part? So, he gets, and doesn't give?

I don't think the feedback system is perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it's something, and I like to see how happy people are with me as a seller AND a buyer.
Should I not bother leaving feedback for those one-sided items, where I know I won't get a friendly word in return?

    Its entirely up to you.

I use the feedback system as a selling tool to show that items have been received in good order & give feedback after the buyer has posted their feedback to me. This is because or my country location rather than a recommended policy.....delivery times are often weeks not days

This way, I lose out on a fair number of feedbacks from buyers who elect not to use the system for whatever reason but I can easily monitor items dispatched but possibly not received and take appropriate action.

In your attached image in the first 2 instances either you or your seller has left feedback in the last example no one has left feedback yet.

the 2 different icons just mean that one party has left feedback, the "handshake symbol" does not show twice to indicate that no one has left feedback.
