Slow uploads

    Hello all,


    These last few days, and we must admit few weeks, many sellers faced very slow uploading.

    Our team worked on this, and today it seems that the result is good.

    Our graphs are (very) positive, but you, do you confirm that the situation is now back to normal, and possibly better than a few weeks ago ?

    I think we all need a few days to a week to see if the system has improved or not as not everyone will list items on a daily basis.

    With myself I have found the upload time to item appearing on the site has improved - but too early to see if this is more than a 'one off' occurence or not.

    Sorry, but problem is still there......perhaps you could review the technical problems thread too.

    Was better for only 1 day then reverted back to very slow again.

    I am in a similar position to other sellers who cannot afford the time to wait about whilst pictures load and have to use our time more efficiently elsewhere....thus losing income for this site.

    To try and overcome the issue, I now compress pics to +/- 30kb which certainly helps a lot.....different browsers make no difference.

    Incidentally, I am in a different time zone and list in the evening here (early afternoon your time). I guess that will not be a time for peak traffic.

    Hope to hear good news that the technical problem is finally fixed in due course.

    It is my great pleasure to report that images are now loading OK after so many weeks. Thanks for all your efforts and I hope that it lasts!

    Hi Sybella....its 10 am here now.

    I have just loaded 3 pics....30kb, 150kb & 2.5mb. All uploaded fine although the large file was a bit slow as might be expected

    So probably either a temporary glitch or something amiss your end?

    Occasionally, trying a different browser or re-setting your existing one corrects the problem if the problem is at your end.
