The main problem is 'policing' is these issues. Delcampe relies on Moderators, who are volunteers, to do much of the policing. These are private individuals who give up some of their spare time in order to police the site. There are not enough moderators for this task and certainly not enough knowledge to categorise all such issues. This problem is not confined to stamps - but exists right across the collecting spectrum - coins (many fakes listed), bogus banknotes, fake phonecards etc. etc. The answer is possibly an increase in moderators but, as this is voluntary, there are few takers for this task. Many of those that do volunteer are mostly vilified by the miscreants and attacked at every level for any such work that they do. A search of this Forum will show how determined the sellers of this rubbish are to protect their markets. Some even try resorting to legal action to try and protect this lucrative market which is based on deception and greed.

The auction monolith Ebay avoids action against blatant forgers, cheats and thieves even when they are informed of such action by experts in their fields. There are many interesting discussions about all this on the 'Stampboards' Forum (a quick 'Google' will easily find it). The Stampboards Forum has many influential and expert members actively working to curb the activities of many of the chalatans and thieves on Ebay - but that company has little interest in stopping these activities because they probably make too much money in commissions and hide behind 'caveat emptor'.

On Delcampe either volunteer your services as a moderator or report those selling such rubbish with the lot numbers of the offending items.
