    This seems to be an 'undocumented feature' of the site whereby the number shown alongside a store category doesn't match the actual number appearing if you click on that category

    It's usually just a transient thing which I suspect is being caused by some site housekeeping routine - you will often find the same thing happens when you list or close an item then check the category - the count may alter fairly quickly but the actual item doesn't show/continues to show for some time after

    You can check this quite quickly if you know the item number of the affected sale - a search on the number will usually display the sale even if it isn't in the ongoing or closed sections

    There is a sort of limbo area where items reside during the automatic restart process

    Yes, I know the problem. Specially on Saturday in a lot of shops a lot of items dissappear. I have experienced that 50% of my lots had dissappeared on a Saturdaynight :( Many shops on Delcampe face the same problem on 'busy' days...

    Yes, I know the problem. Specially on Saturday in a lot of shops a lot of items dissappear. I have experienced that 50% of my lots had dissappeared on a Saturdaynight :( Many shops on Delcampe face the same problem on 'busy' days...

    As a matter of fact, I have checked the dissappeared items , now I see that all items which are ending are dissappearing.
    Auto-Relisting the item takes a lot of time and is not done within a fraction of a second, but it takes a lot of minutes.

    As a seller, just make sure your items aren't up for relist on a Saturday or Sunday - restart them mid-week when traffic is quieter

    Yes, new surprise on the site, new - at least for me. I used to think that regardless of temporary problems, the site is serious and reliable.
    I was spending some time or revising my prices, adding those damned 15 cents here and there, and discovered that LISTINGS DISAPPEARED! Many listings disappeared.
    If you want to ask me those routine questions, here are the ready answers.
    1) I search by sales by me a) ongoing, then b) closed.
    Can you imagine - some items don't show in closed and/sold folder although there have been numerous purchases of those very items.
    2) I search on Delcampe in general, by keywords. Items don't show 1) in ongoing and 2) in closed sections.
    Now what? Should you hope this is temporary issue, and they will re-appear tomorrow? No, I list them again, from zero.
    What will happen next - nobody knows. f the lost items re-appear some day, I'll have dupe listings. If someone buys one of them and it happems to be the last copy in stock, then I'll stay unaware that I HAVE a listing, which is out of stock. Someone will buy it and listen my "sorries" for "having overlooked", and may post negative on me. Will Delcampe take the responsibility?
    Leave alone the fact that all those new listings will qualify for 15 cents charge, although the LOST listings may have been poste before Sep 1st.
    Is Delcampe eliminaing the not-yet-chargable listing from the site THIS WAY?

    I made a separate list of items that I listed again because they were not in search results. And today, I checked them - YES, they were now duplicates of old versions - each item seen twice. So I deleted the dupes. How much time did it take? Who pays for that time?

    Don't assume just because you can't find an item that it isn't there somewhere - search using the item number and you will almost invariably find it

    The time spent duplicating then closing 'missing' sales is down to you I'm afraid

    Short answer: Yes

    It is a problem if potential buyers can't see your offerings, but the main gist of this thread is that sellers can't find what they know should be there and act accordingly, thereby causing duplication problems

    I agree that Delcampe should get a handle on this problem and sort it out, but quite frankly I'm happier putting on a thick coat rather than waiting for Hell to freeze over...

    I agree that Delcampe should get a handle on this problem and sort it out, but quite frankly I'm happier putting on a thick coat rather than waiting for Hell to freeze over...
