Integrated checkout

Am I doing something wrong or is this the Delcampe default?

On several occasion now, I've either had buyers not paying for p&p or asking me for p&p cost, as it is not showing up in the checkout. Generally these have all been newbies.

I send an invoice out asap after auction(s) end and type the relevant p&p in the box provided.

Is it always a question that the buyer has to manually add the p&p to the total payment or am I doing something wrong?

Although I've bought several items here, I have not yet used the integrated checkout, because my sellers have not had it enabled (or in the first case, I did not yet have a MB account myself), so I can't judge from a "buyer's point of view" what is going on.

It has been my experience that the S&F, 'fees', show up in my Delcampe invoice; very rarely someone doesn't include the extra fee and this tellls me that it *is* showing up but the buyer isn't being careful or in even rarer cases it's deliberate. (I'm talking 5 out of 1,000 sales)

Something that is of concern with the new intergration of Paypal, however: It seems that when a buyer uses the Paypal link here at Delcampe, their previous--in some cases year-old--sales have not been erased. In other words, a buyer bid, won, paid for, rec'd an item last year. Now they win another item. When they use the integrated Paypal link here at Delcampe, both the new and old item (the one won last year/paid for and rec'd) are on the Paypal bill.

Has anyone else had this happen? It's been 2 or 3 times for me in the past month or so. Let me know if anyone else has experienced this and I will send a message to the Delcampe Team.

    Alan,
It's happened to me with moneybookers.
I set MB up about a month after I started selling here. A repeat customer who had previously paid me by other means, ended up paying me again for his first purchase, because the item had not "been marked as paid by the integrated system".

I am aware that p&p shows up on the invoice, but I am not so sure, if it's actually included in the total, when the buyer clicks on the e-wallet button. It defenitely wouldn't be included in the total, if no invoice was sent, because we don't have a box to list exact p&p, but it should be included after an invoice is issued!

Thanks for the input, but I doubt very much that that is the problem, because it works ok on all other sites I sell on. I've heard that being mentioned before on other forums, so I will check it out.

I checked it out. I don't have a shipping profile enabled in PP, so that is not the case.

Hi, Stefano! Have you had any Paypal buyers 're-pay' for old items as I describe?

Personally I like to keep my sales in the "current sold items" until I have either received fb or a message from my buyer to say that the item(s) has been received. However, some buyers do neither, but happily come back for more items.

As far as the 2 issues, that have emerged in this thread are concerned: I think I've just answered my initial question and Alan's.

I just went into "my payments>pay sellers.
I found one "pending payment". I paid this seller ages ago without using an integrated payment method and have received the item in question and fb has been left by both parties. Although I've marked the item as payment sent, it's still there.
I am absolutely certain that this seller sent me an invoice, because I requested one, as he/she did not have postage to UK stated in the auction in question. Yet the p&p box is empty!

Please, please, if any Delcampe managers/supervisors/moderators are reading this thread, can something be done about it, please?

Most peeps, who are used to buying on other auction sites, expect the p&p charges to automatically be included in the invoice, they've been sent. Potentially this could result in a negative experience for sellers, who may just leave a "partially" justified neg for their buyer - which in turn escalates to a negative fb for the seller - especially if this buyer happens to be a newbie, they are more then likely never return to the site!

thanks, Stefano. I wonder if the buyer is the one who needs to Archive the sale as well; I always archive after shipment/feedback from my 'Closed Sales' page.
In the two cases which had old (completed) sales, I am quite certain they were archived from my end.
