    A temporary workaround was put in place yesterday.

    Today it showed 4 peaks on the image system. 3 times 5-10 minutes, and 1 time 15 minutes. See attached picture where you can see the peaks (and compare with those of yesterday), time is the Brussels time.

    Of course, this is too much, but this is what we can do for now.

    The image system, which is regularly causing that kind of problem (for months, and years!) will be replaced in the next two months.

    I'm still listing,

    I tend to blitz list when the site is working OK.

    What I can't do is plan my day any more. My partner is also getting used to me swearing frequently about Delcampe being down again.

    As long as I continue to get sales I will keep persevering.

    I never said that the members should wait another 2 months. The situation, on images, was perfect on Saturday, as well as for many weeks, and this was on the present image system. Just a glitch appeared on Monday, and this brought all the trouble to image uploading.

    So, what I said is that in any case we change this hardware within the next 2 months.

    All what I want is to tell the truth, as I always do.

    Probably you never managed a company. Technicians work on technical matters, commercial people on commercial matters. These are not the same people, and they do not do the same work. We will not stop providing the best possible human service because an image server is unstable.

    I do not know the reason for it, and I am not minded to look to deeply for a reason, but my sales have actually increased over the last few weeks - OK, they are still pretty low compared to some sellers, but the sales are there!

    This despite all the 'problems' besetting the site - most of which I never seem to encounter - although I think there may be more potential buyers visiting the site following the recent policy change at eBay and the seemingly moribund state of BidStart

    Whatever the reason, I'm only too glad to welcome these buyers to my store

    For many years I was skeptical of the benefits of lister software (here or on any other site). Now I am glad that I finally decided to start using it about 2 years ago.

    I can plan my day and prepare my listings in the lister. I send them once I'm done with the day's listings and suffer none of the frustrations of image uploads hanging, etc. There was one instance last year, when they blocked all lister uploads and anything that was send during a one hour period was lost due to a technical issue. However, when I complained that my items had not appeared on the site, I received an honest reply with an exact timespan, which made it clear that my listings had fallen victim to the problem. Having them in the lister, meant that I could send them again with a few clicks.

    The Delcampe lister is very easy to use. You can plan your day and your other half will not have to put up with your bad language. ;)

    I might give Delcampe's lister another try. I tried a few years ago and didn't get on with it (I'd used the lister on the other site for years, so the basic concept wasn't a problem, just Delcampe's version)

    I recommend using Lister.

    There are some glitches that occur, notably within the description area, but on the whole it works ok. And most importantly you don't waste time 'hanging' or 'waiting' for the system to work as you often do listing on line / on site. I would have given up long ago without it ... and for me it is what differentiates Delcampe from the other sites without a Lister. I personally hate using spreadsheet or quasi-spreadsheet style listing tools.

    Net, Lister is a sound tool and worth using - do the listing work when you want and upload when the site is working - keep your partner happy :cool2:

    Seb....all I want to do is sell stamps on your site! I am not interested in all this pointless bickering.

    Can you PLEASE tell us clearly and honestly the extent of the site problems and your schedule of timescales for fixing things.

    Many of your sellers have indeed been very patient and understanding, but I detect that patience is becoming exhausted.
