New Sales not showing for Invoicing

    I think I am losing my mind.

    Sales overnight are not actually appearing in the 'new' invoicing system so I can't, obviously, send an invoice.

    I have the usual Delcampe advice of the sale but the sales are not showing in the system!

    Anyone else noticed this feature!

    Unpon further investigation I can now see that this is another system 'gotcha'.

    The buyer has purchased from me before and settled direct (probably by cheque). I marked the previous invoice as despatched but may have forgotten to mark the items as 'paid'. The system is now treating the new purchases as part of the old invoice (which it sees as not paid). There is no way that I can see of marking this invoice as paid in the 'new' system! Hence my view that this is a 'gotcha'.

    I now understand that I can no longer IE8 as my Browser for Delcampe as it gives different results to say Chrome (which I am now using). Perhaps Delcampe should make clear what Browsers can be used with their site!!!!
    No doubt there are Buyers out there that have just given up.

    On this invoice issue the situation gets even more bizarre.

    The repeat buyer purchased 2 items on this occasion. However, these items got attached to a previous 'invoice' which although I had marked it as 'despatched' I forgot to mark it as 'paid'. The only knowledge that the system had these new items was buried in the 'ALL' tab (and not the 'to be invoiced' where they should have been. Using IE8 I couldn't do anything with the 'invoice'. However, using Chrome I could edit the invoice and remove all the old items to isolate the two new purchases. I then sent the invoice.I hope you are still following me.

    The correct invoice has been sent!

    However, the other old items moved and are now appearing as 'to be invoiced'! And the invoice which you might expect to be under the 'invoiced' tab has gone completely AWOL!

    The system knows this invoice exists because if I try to invoice the already paid for items now appearing in 'to be invoiced' the system asks me if I want to combine these items with the 2 items invoice.

    If you can follow the above then good for you.

    I am both perplexed and annoyed. Time wasted as far as I'm concerned. :angryfire:

    Watch out for the next installment which I expect will the last ... maybe.

    I suppose I should close this thread now as the items concerned have been despatched.

    The workaround proved to be to 'Archive' the problematic invoice. In the Archive the invoice split into two invoices with the new sales identifiable and visible but marked as 'despatched'. Clicking on the 'despatched' icon to show that the items were 'not despatched' moved the invoice back to the 'To be despatched' tab.

    And here ends this story ... but as you can imagine it took time to discover this 'workaround'.
