WHAT A CONFUSING MESS!

So now all listings are converted into Euros.

What a confusing shambles for Buyers.
References to Catalogue prices which are in sterling in listing descriptions now look out of place; rounded sterling prices become an equivalent euros price except that the euro price is now the actual price; some of the original sterling prices have been amended slightly probably due to some rounding routine.

It is an absolute minefield of muddle.

I am no longer uploading new listings to Delcampe.

Wait until you sell something, Alan,

The invoice amount is shown in sterling with a Euro conversion. God knows what happens when someone actually pays, we wait with bated breath ! :dunno:

    Surprisingly I have sold something.
    Of course postage in euros!
Invoice looks incomprehensible to a UK buyer.
    We'll see what happens.
I'm sure I am being 'nickle and dimed' at each stage of this process.

    I am not happy.

    Yes,

You need to be careful not just to add your usual postage charge and be done out of 17% at today’s rate, I nearly fell into that trap.
Will see how this works out but like you, not happy at all

Just to know, because I have some clients in UK selling here:
A buyer located outside the EU that buy an item from a pro seller in UK don't pay 23 £, right ?

    Thanks in advance

    I remembered the postage.

PAYPAL payment received - sterling conversion @ 1.21.
As expected at each stage being 'nickle & dimed'.
Now having to check that PAYPAL reporting will pick up the euro converted receipts - tomorrow's task!

Reluctant to open a euro account.

Can't wait for the Mangopay nonsense and 'transfer charge'.

At the moment I don't have a good word to say about Delcampe. :d-unhappy:

Everything is in euros from today.

The euro 25 Delcampe administration fee applies to purchases from Pro Sellers only (outside the EU) by EU Buyers where the purchases total less than euros 150.

Conversely, the same charge is levied on UK Buyers purchasing from EU Sellers even though there is no current justification for such a charge.

    I think that's it.
