    Ungheria

Recently I've started to collect cards by a German publisher called Krüger (with small crown on top of u).

They were very prolific in the 1960s and published cards in many different countries all over the world, also glamour, film star cards etc.
Their city or other view cards are beautfifully composed with nice colours, sometimes people can be seen in the landscape too.

Now I decided to find out how many countries they were present in worldwide. So far I have cards collected cards from 29 countries:

Europe: Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Malta, Yugoslavia, Romania, Portugal, Sweden

Central and South America: Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Guatamala, Peru,

Asia: Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia (Bali)

    Africa: Egypt, and Australia

As we can see all continents are represented which makes Krüger quite significant and perhaps the FIRST global postcard maker ? It's also remarkable that they were present not only in the developed West or East but also in our region, the communist world: Romania and Yugoslavia. How did they do it ?

Krüger is a mystery for me and I've found very little information on their company history, etc. on the net and I'm very curious.

If anyone knows more about them or can help me with some information that would be great.

    Thanks. Zoli
