Ajman is not a country and has something to do with the United Arab Emerates. I don't think they are actual postage but rather pretty stamps printed for sale. They are broadly collected but have no value. Ajman is listed in collector books. I have some of these too and they are pretty.

They are postage stamps but whether or not they saw any actual postal usage is quite another matter. Stanley Gibbons refuses to give many of these states of the United Arab Emirates full catalogue listing on the basis of the above, albeit as time passes, it is becoming known that at least a few of they were actually used postally. Someone with a Michel catalogue might be able to help as Michel list a lot more than Gibbons do.

As for the animals, the elephants would be African because of the size of their ears - after that???????????

Well, even Michel is kinda low on info on these.
    Mammals series,issued on March 31st, 2 formats (46 1/2 x 33 mm) and (22 x 17 mm).
16 stamps in series, printed in minisheet. All face valued at 1 Riyal, and the saddest part, no animal names explanation (usually there is at least Latin one).

First monkey might be baboon,4th might be lemur, fifth one chimp or bonobo, and big cat looks to me like leopard.
