    Is this what you mean?

    To obtain this result, I used Photoshop.

    I worked in three steps:
    1) Adjustment of brightness and contrast.
    2) Transform the image to grayscale.
    3) Again adjustment of brightness and contrast.

    It takes some time to get a result that is more or less acceptable.

    Perhaps someone else knows a better (and quicker) method?
