REST API - find item with "/" in the reference

    Hi there,
    I have a customer that uses the sloash "/" in the personal reference.
    Since the URL for finding an item using personal reference is
    /item/reference/:PERSONAL_REFERENCE?token=:TOKEN

    the result is somthng like
    /item/reference/SETT98.L9216/ST89%20P?token=:TOKEN

    It's obvious that this causes a problem.

    I tried to replace the / with the corresponding HTML character (/) this does not mess up the HTML but the item was not found.

    I tried to use %2F but it does not work.

    Any suggestion?

    Indeed this won't work and there is no easy way to go.
    An issue as been created to solve this case.

    Thank you for your answer.
    I must admit there is no easy solution if you do not implement a new endpoit like /item/[something]?reference=SETT98.L9216/ST89%20P&token=:TOKEN

    Anyway, I suggest to create a release history where we can check what issue is solved.
