Merits of Gold Membership

    Good Evening,
Previously when I have been on Delcampe I have had the Bronze Membership, to be honest I dont think it made any difference to my sales & couldnt see any advantage to it, so this time I haven't bothered, But I may consider Gold Membership.
I have read all the info on it and I can see some advantages, I would probably have saved about £2.50 in fees this month if the fixed fee dropped from 24p to 14p per item because of membership discount but some I dont see any advantage to.
I wont ask if you think its value for money, if it wasn't you wouldn't have it but If you have Gold Membership what do you think is the best advantage to you? Or have you had it previously but dont bother anymore?

There are 2 major reasons why I took up Gold membership.

Firstly, as you have already said, there is the reduction in the item fee on sales.

Secondly, and important if you are, like me, likely to be away from home fairly frequently (at least pre COVID anyway), it gives the opportunity to use the Multiple Changes facility, changing 'buy it now' type sales to auction format, setting a date for your return so that you don't have a lot of sales waiting for your return, and the opportunity to revert the sale type on your return.

For anyone with more than a few items in your shop, this is invaluable, and if you have thousands of sale items, essential!

Thank you Both for your replies. Yes I can see why the multiple changes option would be useful as its not available as standard. I have also realised that as postal rates increase, although I can alter my template it may not alter the existing rates for items already listed.
I dont think I need the API as I dont have a website and I dont really understand what the notification facility is for, but overall I am tempted to try gold membership.

I will do a review at the end of the month of all the pros & cons of the site. One area I find a little disapointing is how the % of None Payers & very slow payers.

    Thanks, Paul

Personally I don't use the template, because the vast majority of my sales (95%+) can currently be encompassed within 5 postage rates - UK standard, UK large, Europe to 100gm & World to 20gm (same rate), Europe large, World > 20gm, and it's just not worth the hassle. After a period you will get to know automatically which rate will apply to a particluar sale, and preparing an invoice takes only seconds!

I suspect the template will update to whatever you have entered at the time of the sale, unlike some other sites where it is fixed to whatever you entered at the time of listing, but can't definitively confirm that.
