On Ebay you are definitely not allowed to charge for Paypal fees.

On Delcampe it would depend on which country you've signed up to Paypal. The Paypal terms & conditions regarding this issue vary slightly from country to country. I have a feeling it's not allowed on a USA Paypal account, but I may be wrong. In the UK the wording is something along the lines of: "A seller should not charge any additional fees, however if an extra fee is charged it's the seller's responsibility to communicate this to the customer". You should check your Paypal t&c's.

On the other hand, you've stated your conditions of sale clearly and the buyer accepted those by purchasing from you.

It is certainly not true that ALL sellers on Delcampe who accept Paypal charge their customers for the fees and many buyers will walk away from sellers who do.

Btw, why are you registered in Finland and your conditions of sale warn buyers that post from Russia can take 6 to 8 weeks?

Personally I don't think it right that a PayPal fee should be charged - I don't do so myself - and that PayPal fees should be accepted as the cost of doing business, but I agree completely with your statement that, having accepted your T&C by bidding on items, it is wrong for the buyer then to start asking for the same T&C to be changed or waived

I'm another that does not charge extra for using Paypal and I never buy from anyone that does. The payment system used is for the benefit of the seller who should, IMHO, absorb the cost and that can easily done within the postage and packing charge or the starting price of the item.

But, as has been said, your buyer accepted your terms and conditions when he bid so he cannot then start arguing about them afterwards.

I would revise your feedback follow up left on Magcollections comment before someone at Delcampe sees it. profanity is not allowed under any circumstances.

Have a look at the negative feedback you received and your comment to it!

Profanity - swear words - bad language.

Whilst I think it wrong to charge Paypal fees of buyers; as it is stated in your listing that you DO, then that's what should happen unless you decide otherwise....... .

NOTE: Personally I avoid sellers who charge for Paypal
