    Dear Members and Dear Developers,

I just had a repeated problem leaving feedback.
Sometimes buyers asking if possible to buy another item instead of one of what they bought already, or they want to cancel buying one item, even they are very honest collectors. They asking to replace that item with another one. If you do it than you will sell 2 items and you'll get the payment for one. You cannot get back your fees from Delcampe only if you leave neutral or 0% feedback. But that is not correct and buyers will be upset. No one of them wants to get neutral feedback because of a small mistake.

The only thing what you can do is so simple : leaving positive feedback for both items.

Let me know your opinion about it please.

    Best regards,
    merlion

Just been checking my feedback: I've given 330 more feedbacks (10% of total) to 100 more members than I have received

Seems many people just can't be bothered to either acknowledge receipt of items or leave feedback

I've received just under 6000 from about 1000 members and left more than 7000 to 1200 members, so that's an even larger percentage. I did used to have a couple of regular customers though who used to buy in bulk (30/40 items at the time) and only leave a single feedback for the lot to let me know that the items had been received.

The same applies to all other sites I sell/have sold on.

Just take it that all of those who didn't leave any feedback are happy customers who received their item(s) - they would have let you know if things weren't right.

Full agreement about that last statement!

It's just a little irritating after I went to the trouble of leaving feedback as soon as I received payment only to hear nothing further (some don't even bother to mark items as 'received'), although I long since stopped worrying about my feedback rating and just try to give the best service I can

Likewise, I've given up worrying about it and at least it's easy enough on Delcampe to leave multiple feedbacks - not as if you have to type (or copy and paste) the same bit over and over again for each individual transaction. Moreover, if those buyers who don't leave feedback come back and buy from you again and again, then I happily "lose out" on some feedback.

I 've actually found quite a few instances where sellers have left neutral fb because there buyers "have not participated" in the feedback system - I just find that unbelievable. I wouldn't be able to do that anyhow, because I leave feedback the day I post the item(s). As far as I am concerned, once the buyer has paid, they have met "their obligation".

Me too - I've always taken the view that by paying the buyer has fulfilled their part of the bargain

It's good to see I am not the only one who takes that view. Over the years I've seen very many comments on forums telling sellers not to leave fb until the buyer has left theirs.

In over 10000 transaction across various sites I've had a few items go "walkies", but only ever received one negative feedback from a buyer for non receipt - the first I knew about the item being lost was the feedback; in all other instances I've received no fb or +fb for dealing with the situation.
