    Dear members,



    I have been doing my utmost until very late at night to solve some of the unexpected events related to the new website version.



    [1] Technical matters :

    Do not be surprised this morning if:

    - Emails about sales being closed or renewed have not been sent
    - Email alerts have not been sent
    - Items sent thanks to the Delcampe Lister cannot be find through search engine
    - The number of visits on items have not been updated yet
    - Some items on sale cannot be found through the search engine
    - Messages sent through Delcampe.com have not arrived yet
    - Lists (home page, categories, ...) have not been updated yet

    Everything should be back to normal by noon. If not, do not hesitate to send me an email to info@delcampe.com . Seven of our colleagues are answering to your questions regarding the above-mentioned matters since yesterday in order to help you as well as possible.

    These annoyances could not be foreseen and we are deeply sorry for it.



    [2] Changes in current version compared to the former

    Plenty of you have sent us relevant questions regarding the new version which is totally understandable.

    Therefore, here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions :


    Q: Where are my favourite objects ?

    A: This section has been renamed as "watching list" which you can find under "My Delcampe > My control Panel > My Offers"


    Q: Where are my statistics ?

    A: They are not in "My offers" or "My sales" anymore. They are not very far in "My Statistics"


    Q: Where are "my Archives" (of my offers and sales) ?

    A: They cannot be reached as before. Now, you can find your archives directly in "My offers > Won" and "My sales> Closed". Just click on the above tab when on the page.


    Q: I use to have more item pages before, where are they ?

    A: They are still there. The reason is that more items can be placed on a single page and therefore, the number of pages has decreased.


    In brief : Nothing has been lost when switching to the new version. All the features and datas there were in the former version still exist, everything.
    If you cannot find what you are looking for, look around and you will find it.



    [3] Slowness and "no page found" syndrome

    This phenomena is logical and we could expect it. Indeed, yesterday, we announced to our 60.000 members that a new version of the website was online. Many members as yourself are visiting us just to see what the changes are. The number of visits has incredibly increased since yesterday and our servers, which were already facing constantly increasing number of members, could not respond to all the requests made at once. My team and I are aware of this and once again are doing our utmost in order to make those interruptions as short as possible. It should be back to normal during this coming weekend.

    We are currently improving the speed of the website and plan to invest for new equipments in a very near future.


    In a few words, we thank those of you who have proved themselves to be comprehensive and those who have cheered us up with emails and messages on the forum. We could not answer to you because time is running short for us right now. But be sure we were moved and also that it gave us the courage to face the task.

    Hoping this message could help or calm down the fears of some of you. On behalf of the team and myself, I thank you for your patience and your comprehension.
