Postage Calculations Incorrect

I've switched postage rate templates on with 'fixed price' templates. I've kept my review of the invoice to check that things were working ok.

My first sale of 1 stamp went through ok.

    My second of 12 stamps had 12 lots of postage (12 X £2.70 = £32.40) added. I was expecting a fixed price of £2.70.

Is this the expected behavior from your side, if so how do I get my expected result.

I've submitted this as a ticket and have left in the invoice section of my shop for you to investigate.

My ticket has been answered that this is the expected behavior for the fixed price template.

Awaiting a response on how to set up a template for my desired behavior.

Surely this is impossible based on weight, or even numbers, Other online platforms already have similar systems all of which require adjustment because they all operate on the basis of: if 1 item = x postage charge then 12 must = 12x postage.

Even more problemmatic when the buyer pays the 12x postage charge and the seller has to do a refund for the overcharge.

Even Delcampe's limited ( in terms of range of products against other platforms) range will vary enormously 12 stamps will probably be 1 postage charge, 12 FDCs or postcards will be more but then will probaly vary. 12 coins will be different again but will then depend on whether its 12 very small coins, 12 large coins or a mixture of such.

Until some genius works out a programme which can deal with all these variables, I think I will stick with working it out myself! It's served me perfectly satisfactorily for the 10+ years I have traded on Delcampe and I don't currently see the need to give myself any more headaches!!

Following a discussion with support I've created a 'Quantity' template, with a fixed charge from 1 to 99,999 items as attached, hopefully this will do as I want.

Most sites allow you to set a fixed postage price for an order, thats what I've operated on for the past 6 years or so.

It works well, buyers are happy that the know exactly what they pay before they order.

For the seller, you just set the price so that it covers your basic postage etc, and ensure that your item price has a small buffer within it to allow for the additional postage of that item (for stamps this would only be a penny or so). Once the actual postage increases above your quoted price the value of the extra items should cover it.

Once I and Delcampe get this automated system working properly it will be one less thing for me to worry about (sending invoices) and will allow the buyer to receive their stamps without delays.

Obviously with bulky items the equation changes, but for stamps it works well!

Just had my first multi item order and my 'Quantity' template, with a fixed charge from 1 to 99,999 items combined postage perfectly.

Next thing to try is the automated invoice procedures
