    Dear all,

Some of you have experienced issues with their PayPal payments.
It seems the issue is related to PayPal directly as it is being discussed on external forums such as: Lien (http)

We are currently contacting PayPal to get more information about this.

    We will keep you posted.

    Kind regards,

    Hello,

Today, we can only confirm again that the issue is linked to PayPal and not to Delcampe.
However, our teams are working to find a way to get around this issue.

Even though this issue is difficult to overcome and is not related to us, we are doing everything we can to get around it as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Kind regards,
    Miranda from the Delcampe Team

    Dear all,

our teams finally found a solution to get around this bug, you should no longer experience this issue.

Right now, the fees "Payment" and "Other" are added to the shipping charges at PayPal.

    Kind regards,

This issue is critical to most sellers on Delcampe. I am guessing that many don't realise that their payments are not the full amount of what they invoiced. The point that makes this situation most unsatisfactory is that the Delcampe advice of payment shows the amount invoiced (which is probably what the customer thinks they have paid) but the amount charged to the customer by PAYPAL is less the added charges.

Btw, I didn't find the link you provided very helpful.

And I have no idea whether this is something that PAYPAL are going to fix or not.

I would suggest that Delcampe must have a contract / agreement with PAYPAL regarding the API for the Delcampe interface to PAYPAL which is no longer working fully. Is this going to be fixed by PAYPAL? Why is it now broken?

    Do you have any update?

    Hello,

This thread from another site will give you some insights into what happened at Paypal and why a temporary fix was possible from Delcampe's side once the nature of the Paypal bug was identified: Lien (https)

My understanding is that the problem has now been rectified by Paypal. I'm not sure, however, what they're doing about reimbursing people for the charges they never processed. First issue is identifying the sellers and amounts involved. By the sounds of it, Paypal should have the necessary data; they simply did not process it properly. In any event, Delcampe can provide it anew, and I'm fairly certain this angle has been covered by them. So in my mind the only questions remaining are what will Paypal decide on what to do about this costly error, and how long will it take them to execute the plan.

If you have not done so yet, I suggest that you make a formal claim in writing to Paypal listing the transactions and amounts involved. If this crosses the reimbursement they should make, then so be it.

    Best regards,

    Brice

    Thanks for your comments.
The small number of sales affected don't warrant any time consuming action on my part but might for others.
