The Invoice button

    As no one has replied to my previous post (Unable to Invoice) I have done some experimenting.

    My problem is that when I go to the 'To Invoice' page, the properties of the blue invoice button are URL Lien (http) # which is why it goes to the home page when I click it, and doesn't create an invoice.

    If I go to the properties of, say, the edit link on a previous invoice, I get a much longer URL containing the item number etc.

    So, two questions which I would be grateful if someone could answer:

    a) is there another way of sending an invoice? (other than the blue button)

    b) could someone reply with the correct URL (right click on your To Invoice button and copy the Properties URL into a reply to this post) and then I can insert my own item numbers?

    (I have 6 outstanding items to invoice at present, growing by the day, and my buyers are getting impatient)

    Invoicing works fine for me, but I think I know what you mean.

    You are trying to do the invoice in a new tab and that goes to the home page.

    If you left click and work in the same tab, you can send your invoices.

    Thank you for your reply - left click doesn't do anything - I have only have click or right click.
    Below is a screen shot of the To Invoice page. Unless there is something missing the only choice seems to be to click the Invoice (blue) button, which takes me to the Delcampe home page.

    Just clicking on the "invoice" button works for me.

    I notice you are on .co.uk. Would it work from the international site?

    Alternatively, a long way round, but try this:

    Go to the "All" tab. click on "see all purchases" (by your buyers name), at the far right tick every item and then use the + button and select "send invoice"

    Also can you add your problem to this thread, please: Lien (http)

    Alternatively, if they are repeat customers and usually pay with Paypal, you could send them a Paypal invoice.

    Lot of hassle and we shouldn't have to put up with this. Makes you wonder who and how they tested before they implemented it.

    First thing I had to do Monday morning was to apologize to a customer for a mess that was created by Delcampe.

    This is bizarre. I have just been in to use a neighbour's computer and the invoice button works (which is the important thing).
    It still doesn't work on mine and Delcampe invoicing is the only place where I can't click buttons (I can on Ebay, BBC, banks etc).
    If it's a virus it's a very targetted one (and I am running Nortons). Anyone know how I can fix it?

    Ouch, don't know how to advice you on that one.

    Do you have an alternative browser installed, that you could try?

    Also try clearing your browser's cache to see if that makes a difference.

    Thank you for showing an interest - which is more than Delcampe are doing. I have e-mailed Benjamin direct twice yesterday but no response.
    Going at it from the all sold items gives the same result - the Delcampe home page.
    To my 'reasonable but not expert knowledge of computing' mind, when I click the invoice button it is not picking up the html extension (i.e. the item number etc) and adding it to the Lien (http) which means it is a Delcampe problem. It has worked for 4 years prior to their new 'improved' system.
    My husband works in IT development and if he put out such a flawed beta version live, he would lose his job. It must have been tested by one person who is neither a seller nor a buyer.
    I'll just have to pester my neighbour every time I sell something!
    PS - I've tried clearing the browser cache - no difference in outcome
