Oh dear.....following the servers maintenance last night I must say that I half expected the site to work properly afterwards.......forlorn hope that was! Picture upload is still non-operational and I gave up after 4 attempts of 1 minute + each........its 6.30am Paris time so hardly peak loading time I suspect.

Just on the off-chance that the error was my end, I tried to upload the 200kb pic on 2 other web sites, 1 in Europe and 1 in USA. Each loaded in about 5 seconds! Just before I posted this, I reduced the scan size and scanned the image for viruses.......no difference, pic upload still does not work.

By now, I guess most sellers will have missed the usual upturn in sales just before Christmas due to the constant glitches and upload problems preventing proper sellers operation of new listings (I mean, new new listings, not pretend new listings that are really re-lists).

Great pity and I hope that matters will be put right once and for all before the end of this year.......or is that a pipe-dream? :whiteflag:

Anyone else ad this experience or was I just unlucky?

Yes....the notice went up on the site an hour after I posted the start of this thread. What a shambles!

The image upload failure has been ongoing for months and it is stretching credulity to think that the IT team still cannot fix such a bog-standard problem.

Like you, I have no alternative but to give up for now. New listings will have to go elsewhere until the upload problem has been fixed permanently and proved to have been fixed. I will try the odd item occasionally to check progress but......I have a living to make.:pc_user2:
