Does anyone know how this is meant to work?

There is a warning note that reads:
'Warning: after 3 months items are automatically archived by the server and cannot be found anymore'

Now I can find items dating back to February 2011 in my Archive of 232 pages!

Make this feature work to spec and perhaps D could save a lot of server space without having to worry too much about 'Sane listings'?

Probably missing something important here but just curious I guess.

Yes. Trouble is, D are not following their own rules.

As you say, my archive goes back to March 2011 and all the "cannot be found anymore" items actually can be found. Looks like the server is merely transferring data to another info category without actually archiving or deleting it.

I don't think you re missing anything...... with archive storage, some details can still be found if one "un-archives" from the squashed-up data. Deletion is something else, of course, and saves considerable space on the server especially if the data is scrubbed, not just deleted.

I wonder if anyone from D will read your posting and have a "eureka" moment
