    Unfortunately it is not possible.
There are many other members (including myself), who would like to see that feature and it is being brought up on the forums every now and again.

    Not allowed.
And I wouldn't risk it either - what if you get bids or a buy it now on the one item twice by different buyers?

Of course, if you have more then one of the item, then you can (and are allowed) to list in different categories.

If you click on the register link at the top of the page (homepage) and then click on terms & conditions link at the bottom of that page, you'll find it.
Number 4.2 seller's deontology, the 5th bullet point.

As far as your 2nd question is concerned: You can not cancel bids once they have been placed. If you were to go that route, you'd have to let the auction run, incur the fvf and if you then tell your "buyer" that you don't have the item, expect the negative feedbacks to start coming in.

    You're welcome.

I understand your frustration, because I have many items up for sale, that are equally well suited to 2 or more different categories. Where I do have duplicates, I have listed them in different categories.
