I found the envelope & these 6 small photos whilst loading postcards on the site. From the writing, I am assuming UAE . There is good detail, good colour and when they catch the light they are quite stunning. They are on card, each one approx 55mm x 45mm and have various values in bottom l.h.corner, The feature trains (& cars maybe 1960s). I have attached front & back photos + one in more detail
    Any ideas please?

    Many Thanks for your explanation.
I can see now that these are in fact very thin plastic rather than flexible card, which is how I described them. I have found them for sale (as you said in "Umm al Qiwain" stamps) so I wlll also list them there ( at a v. low price if anyone is interested).
My enquiry should not even have been in PHOTOGRAPHY section - but in STAMPS but I had no idea so please accept my apologies!
Does anybody know how these small pieces of 3D plastic are used for posting items, just as a matter of interest? How would you attach to a letter or parcel?

Some 3D stamps have been used for postage and are worth a considerable premium if on cover because they were mostly produced for the so called 'packet trade' canceled to order. The most 'common' ones are the Bhutan 3D stamps that some Indian dealers offer on commercial covers from Thimpu.

I have never seen the Umm al Qiwain 3d's on cover but if they could be found commercially used on cover they would be worth a sizable premium.

Have to admit ,my memory is not good ))
I personally used at least once 3D souvenir sheet (2009 Canada,Hockey) on registered mail.Would be afraid to use on regular mail as it would be definitely stolen.I like to use uncommon stamps, maybe one day someone would add it to his/her collection.
