Closing shop after 17 years due to Mangopay & Delcampe

After more than a week of trying to get my business account identity verified by Mangopay, I give up.

Mangopay accepted scans of my driving licence without problem. However, after uploading numerous screenshots from the HMRC's website (that's the UK
's tax authority), every time they say that "document is not accepted". They give no explanation as to why, so I have no idea what's required.

It might be that I am in a business partnership with my wife, and my dealings on here are in my name only whereas on HMRC the partnership documents show her name as well as mine. I have given Mangopay a screenshot of my personal tax account but that's probably rejected as it doesn't show a business name.

I have contacted Delcampe for support and all they do is sent a link to HMRC's website to upload documents. They seem unwilling or unable to speak with Mangopay to sort out the problem.

Mangopay owe me more than £80 but it cannot be withdrawn as they won't allow withdrawals until the account is verified.

Therefore, I am now shutting up shop and I leave a link to Mangopay's reviews on Trustpilot and wonder why Delcampe every became involved with such a company:

    Hello "postcardsextra",

We would like to point out that our customer service department has contacted Mangopay to help you find the missing document. Our banking partner has therefore been contacted and the necessary document we asked you to upload has not yet been submitted in your account.

If you are still having difficulty verifying your identity for Mangopay, please contact our Customer Service department. We can have a closer look with you and help you to unblock your Mangopay account.

    Kind regards,
    Cecilia
